How to Stay Healthy Over The Holidays
There's nothing worse than having DREAMY holiday plans lined up only to catch a cold and end up stuck inside all day.
We are NOT here for that possibility.
Let’s make one thing clear: you WILL be at that party. You WILL be wearing the perfect dress, those killer heels, and yes, the sexy underwear that make you feel like a million bucks. Because there is no chance you're missing out this season—not when you're taking your health seriously and treating your body well.
I want you to feel your best so you can truly get the MOST out of this magical season.
Picture this: you're walking into that holiday party, feeling confident, radiant, and full of energy. All eyes are on you, not because of what you're wearing (although, let's be honest, you're looking fabulous), but because you're glowing from the inside out. You’ve got more energy than ever, your skin is flawless, your mind is sharp, and you’re owning the room. So, how do you get to this place?
It all starts with one simple commitment: taking EXCELLENT care of yourself, no matter what.
The holidays are busy, between wrapping all the gifts and traveling every weekend, but do NOT let your health be the first thing to go. My absolute favorite way to stay on top of it is SUPPLEMENTS, SUPPLEMENTS, AND MORE [high-quality] SUPPLEMENTS.
I'm telling you, supplements are your BFF because prevention is key.
You don’t have to wait until you're feeling run-down or sick to start taking care of yourself. If you start a solid routine now, you'll not only prevent getting sick in the first place, but you’ll also feel your best all season long.
For me, supplements are a non-negotiable part of my self-care routine. Just like I invest in skincare, fitness, and good food, I make sure to invest in the right supplements that support my overall well-being. And let me tell you, it's worth every penny. After all, how much is your health worth? I hope it's more than $5 a day—which is about how much my favorite winter supplements cost. To put that into perspective, the average coffee drink these days costs more than that!
So, why not prioritize your health in the same way you prioritize your next latte?
Here are my go-to winter supplements... EXTRA Vitamin C and Elderberry from Cymbiotika and their Liposomal Vitamin D3 + K2 + CoQ10 too! Plus, take Eleven Mushrooms from Peekay's herbs for extra support.
- Go for a long walk - light movement triggers the peristaltic muscles of your digestive system to spring into action, thus helping you process what you've eaten faster.
- Meditate - by taking your mind away from criticism and towards compassion, you are practicing self-love. You can find all my meditations here.
- Drink ginger tea or ginger shot - ginger benefits gastrointestinal motility, encouraging efficient digestion.
- Do Pilates - the unique stretching and twists typical to the Pilates method massage the gastrointestinal tract. I love the classes from TPC.
- Go to bed early - don't underestimate what a good night's sleep can do for your body. Try sleeping on your left side to reduce any discomfort in your stomach.
- Take natural supplements - some of my favorites for a stomach ache that work well for me are DigestZen from doTerra and Gutright from ATP Science.
I hope this has helped you to remember some powerful tools to recenter yourself and relax your nervous system so you're not making choices from a dysregulated place but rather making choices from a really grounded, calm place all year long. Prioritize YOU and plan ahead. Take care of yourself now. You deserve it.
