Breaking Down the Trauma of Abortions, Miscarriages, and the Birth Itself (For Both Men and Women)

This is for anyone who has had an abortion, a miscarriage, or a birth experience. Or, if you're planning to have a baby, this is worth a read.

I want to preface this by saying I have not personally gone through any of these experiences, but as a somatic trauma healer, I have helped numerous clients process these exact experiences.

If you're somewhat new here, let me give you a brief overview of how I work with my clients. I am a feminine energy coach and trauma healer. What does this mean? I guide clients through different modalities of somatic therapy (curated by me- and f*ck me when I say they WORK), all of which help to release trauma from the PHYSICAL BODY.

Just to give you an example, one of my 1:1 clients has been trying to fall pregnant for years. In our previous session, we did an energetic clearing of her womb to welcome a baby into her womb space. One week later, BOOM, she's pregnant! And this is one of MANY. I can't tell you the number of clients who have had similar experiences while working with me.

How does this relate to the trauma associated with abortion, miscarriage, and birth?

It all comes down to muscle memory. The female abdomen is a powerhouse of muscle inside and out. It is the core of your feminine energy. Every muscle is encased in something called fascia. Fascia is a network of tissue, blanketing every muscle in your entire body. This fascia stores memory, emotion, and, you guessed it, TRAUMA.

The lower abdomen is your emotional center AND is built up of many muscles, so naturally, this area in your body is more vulnerable to storing trauma than other parts of your body.

No matter if you had extreme or mild complications regarding abortion, miscarriage, or birth - all these experiences are physically traumatic. That's not a matter of opinion. That's a fact. And for many, it can also be emotionally and mentally traumatic.

Many people will process these experiences from an emotional perspective, reflecting on the experience, maybe even seeking support, and talking through the experience. Or maybe it won't be addressed at all.

But what many forget - even those who are conscious about processing these experiences - is that they also need to be processed on a somatic level. Your physical body holds onto the experience just as much as your emotional body.

If you're unsure whether you're still holding onto trauma from any of these experiences or you want to prepare yourself for the possibility, I encourage you to listen to episode 292: Breaking Down the Trauma, for Both Men and Women, of Abortions, Miscarriages and the Birth Process Itself.

This is a great episode to listen to with your partner. It's not just for the ladies in my community. Send it to your partner, brother, or anyone you know who could be affected by these experiences.

This is also a topic I cover in my renowned signature program Queen Alchemy, in which I teach all the tools for feminine energy embodiment and guide you through somatic trauma healing. Make sure to get on the waitlist to be the first to know when the doors open.
