Our Sydney Harbor Baby Shower

Let me start by saying I'm so glad I was in Australia for my second trimester because I really felt SO much better than I did at the start of my pregnancy. Don’t get me wrong; I still wasn't feeling fully like my normal self – my body was changing beyond my control, my boobs were annoying me (still are!), and growing a human is TIRING.
I can’t remember if I put this in my last pregnancy blog, but OMG, MY THIRST WAS SERIOUSLY OUT OF CONTROL during the second trimester.
When I say that I literally NEEDED to have a giant mason jar (or two) on me at all times, I’m not exaggerating. For a 90-min drive, I had 2 liters of water, and I went through it all.
During our trip, we went on a small hike in the 28-degree, SCORCHING Australian sun, and I had to turn around early because I was running out of water and I knew that my body would go into a for-real panic if I ran out of water. I can’t explain it, but my intense need for water was like life or death. I have cotton mouth from about 11 am onwards as well. It’s a RIDE, let me tell you that!! BUT my skin sure is thanking me for all the water (and so is our baby, I suppose, lol).

So, as many of you know, we came to Australia for my first Christmas since 2018 (crazy) and Hal’s first Christmas in the heat. It was a bit of a culture shock for him, to say the least. We played the Australian version of Cards Against Humanity (called “Bogans”), and we ALL learned that echidnas have a four-pronged penis (warning: if you Google, you will never get the visual out of your mind). Hal had his first mince pie, pavlova and Christmas Pudding, and we did family stand-up comedy, which ended in me spraying my water far out of my mouth from laughing so hard.
At the same time, we were also working. Normally, I take this Christmas time off work; however, due to me taking off 8 weeks over our wedding and honeymoon, I wanted to keep working and get ahead for the crazy busy year we have planned.
So, whilst I wasn't taking client calls, I was still writing emails, creating content, planning podcasts, working on launches, etc. – basically, doing a lot of BTS things that you don’t always see happening but that give you the next-level customer experience you know and love. 😉
Oh, and as I'm sure many of you know from what I shared on Instagram, we had the most on-brand and boujee baby shower on the most insane yacht!!!
It was seriously incredible, and it made me want to have a boat day with family and friends as a staple whenever we come back to Australia. So much easier than trying to organise 15 breakfasts and dinners to see everyone. The weather was overcast (so hot, but your skin wasn't sizzling in that middle-of-summer Aussie heat), the water was gorgeous, and everyone brought the VIBES. Would you expect anything less?? 😉
I also spent the day before cooking with Mum and Dad, complete with delicious food, bare feet, and wholesome conversation. All in all, we really had the most amazing time together.
While in Aussie, I hosted a pop-up event in Sydney that blew me away!! I'm seriously still buzzing from that night (yes, even months later!!)
For three hours, the room was alive with the energy of powerhouse women ready to step into their next level. There was truly no better way to kick off 2025, and it's just made me want to have more of these special nights with all of you!!!!! Connecting with incredible, like-minded women and making sisterhood connections... There's just nothing like it!!
While I was in Australia – trying to juggle friends, family, myself, and work – it really allowed me to see how vital not just the healing work is (we all know that), but the integration and embodiment work as well.
So many of you ask me, “How are you able to manage it all!?” and let me tell you, INTEGRATION. I’m able to stay sane, calm, and regulated (aka not triggered and overwhelmed) because of how well I process information, regulate my nervous system, choose what to respond to (and what not to), and ACTUALLY show up as my highest self in everyday scenarios.
So often, when we’re around our family, we slip back into old patterns, causing us to feel like we’ve ‘gone backwards’ in our progress. But what if, even in the most triggering and stressful of situations, you were able to show up with grace and feel proud of how you’re holding yourself?
I’m still fitting in my pilates and walks daily, lots of work, and meditation because I do not use my excuses as a reason for anything. I don’t have excuses anymore. My HER doesn’t have excuses. She shows up as her highest self FOR her current self – end of story.
I know SO many of you are also craving this deep level of inner-commitment and self-trust which is why I'm thriilllled to share that the HER Year waitlist is OPEN and ready for you.
