An Honest Conversation About Your Business and Dream Life

An Honest Conversation About Your Business and Dream Life

I often get asked, “Monica, how can you garden, travel, cook, work out, and still run a business.” So, I am writing to explain exactly how I built a business that set me up for my dream life (allowing me to do all those things).

The NUMBER ONE key is to set up your business as a supportive element that energizes rather than drains you.

Get Out of the Comparison Trap

Being an entrepreneur it is sooo easy to compare yourself to other people (especially in this age of social media). Social media can give a very distorted view of success literally making it seem like you can make 10k overnight.

You have to let this go and remember if you’re not showing up consistently, it’s time to reevaluate your approach – aka don’t follow someone elses business model.

A grounded approach (one that includes both masculine structure and feminine energy) can make it easier to show up consistently.

Embrace Your Unique Brand

One of the biggest mistakes I see people make is people NOT showing any authenticity in their brands. People fall in love with you and the connection they feel with you. It doesn’t matter if you find something in your life “weird” or “different” SHOW THAT.

When you have a solid foundation in place, it creates a safe space for your unique voice to shine. You’re not just a business owner; you are your brand.

Building a Strong Foundation

As you grow your business, don’t forget that it’s not always sunshine and rainbows.

A solid foundation requires hard work, especially in the beginning. That’s when you build the systems and structures that will support you long-term.

This process can feel overwhelming, but once you establish a structure that resonates with you, it allows for ease and flow in your daily operations.

Pro tip: Automations and effective systems can help you enjoy your work instead of feeling bogged down.

Define Your Dream Lifestyle

Your dream lifestyle isn’t just about income; it’s also about how you want to spend your time.

Maybe it looks like making $80,000 a year while working only a couple of days a week. Or perhaps it means earning a million dollars but choosing to work five days a week because you love what you do.

The most crucial question is: Is your business supporting you in achieving this dream lifestyle?

Adapting Your Business to Your Life

As you evolve, so should your business.

If your current setup doesn’t align with your dream life, it’s time to make changes. Your business should facilitate joy and fulfillment, not detract from it.

Consider where you are now and where you want to be in the future. Your actions today should pave the way for happiness down the line.

A Personal Reflection

Know that your dream life can ALWAYS change, and your business will with it.

For example, in this season of your life you may be craving more money, whilst in another season its more time with family.

Whatever it is just identify what is YOURS, not what is others on social media.
